On average patients lose approximately 22.5% of their starting body weight taking Tirzepatide within the first 3 months. Individuals taking Semaglutide lose approximately 15% of their starting body weight in the first 3 months. ​
What common side effects may I experience?

Patients can experience mild side effects within the first few weeks such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, or heartburn. This is typically minimized by the fact the prescription is started low and is increased slowly. If needed an anti-nausea medication could be prescribed. Most side effects resolve after a few weeks on the medication.
How is the medication administered?​

The medication is administered weekly through subcutaneous injections. It is recommended to inject in the stomach, thighs, buttock, or upper arm. These injections are administered with a very small needle.
Will I be provided education on how to administer the injections?​

Yes, you will be provided detail instructions and education on how to administer the medication. You will also be provided a video to use as a good resource for further education.

It is not recommended for use in patients who have a history of pancreatitis, medullary thyroid cancer, gallbladder disease, or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2.
